In the early days I lived and grew up in Cornwall which was an amazing part of the country to be in during those formative years. However, as I entered my teens I knew I wanted to experience more than Cornwall was able to offer me at that time. Five months before my 20th birthday I moved to London.
Most of my career has been spent in the corporate world, working with both UK and Global teams, specialising in sales, operations, merchandising and personnel functions.
During my career, whichever role I occupied, I found myself coaching, mentoring, developing and supporting others to deliver and achieve, not only strong performance and progression for the business we worked in, but also progression for the individuals themselves to be able to lead their best lives both professionally and personally. As my career developed, I found myself enjoying the coaching and developing of others and it became far more rewarding than the actual position I held.
The defining moment came in 2007 whilst working for a well-known telecoms company on their retail sales side and I was invited and trained to become a qualified and accredited career coach.
This is where working with and supporting colleagues with their career decisions, I experienced first-hand the huge positive impact the power of one-on-one coaching can have on an individuals’ life. This in turn set me on a path away from my then career in sales and operations toward the support and development of others, going on to work in EAP (Employee Assistance Programmes) within other corporate businesses and partner owned businesses.
Since that time back in 2007 I have gone on to qualify as a Counselling Skills User, Health and Wellbeing Coach, Life Coach, Business Coach, Sales Coach and ACAS trained and accredited Work Place Mediator. I fully understand and appreciate, for any client, how important it is to be supported in having an open, honest and non-judgmental relationship for them to feel supported and safe to be able to freely develop, grow, live and achieve their best life both professionally and personally.
In addition to the different specialist one on one coaching sessions I offer, I also run Listening Sessions and Health Wellbeing & Mindfulness sessions and am truly passionate about the powerful, positive impact one-on-one coaching, in whatever form, can have on an individual person and those around them. So whether everything is good in your home and work life, but you want to set some challenges to stretch yourself as you feel there is more you could achieve, or you’re at a crossroads, not knowing which direction to take, or heading down the wrong path but don't know how to change it and need support toward making those decisions, then one-on-one coaching could be just what you need.
